Our Family Story

Marco and I raised our daughter Lucia in a third-floor apartment above a workshop in the Oltrarno, where the city still feels like a village of artisans, bakeries, and neighbors who shout greetings from balconies. We cook every day — not for show, but because that is how we Florentines live. We love showing people that handmade pasta can be simple — flour on your sleeves, lunch built from whatever looked best at Santo Spirito market, a recipe written in Marco's impatient handwriting. We want to host people who value conversation at the table as much as a comfortable bed. If you are hoping for silence and privacy only, we may not be the right fit — our home is lively, opinionated, and full of music on weekends.

Why We Host

Years ago we welcomed a university student from Brazil for a month through a friend of a friend, and Lucia still talks about the night they taught each other songs in the kitchen. We are opening our home to travelers who want Florence beyond the museum queues — people curious enough to sit at our table.

Check-in from 4pm (building elevator is small — message us if you have large luggage). Private room with shared bath. Linens, towels, and WiFi included. We usually eat together at least twice during your stay. Checkout by 10am. No smoking indoors.
